It sure has been a while since I last updated this blog! It seems as though my little one is keeping me pretty busy these days! Our little Tyler man is now 11 1/2 months old! WOW...how is he almost one??
He has had a very busy last few weeks. Our little guy has undergone not one, but TWO tear duct surgery/procedures. Tyler has had a blocked tear duct since he was born. His left eye cleared up on its own, but his right eye has been down right stubborn! We have made a few visits to the optometrist, and came to the conclusion that he needed to have this in office procedure, to open the blocked duct before he turns one (after he turns one, the procedure gets a little more complicated). So we opted to get it done now. So, two weeks ago we went to the doctor and painfully watched the little guy undergo this quick procedure that lasts about a min to two min. Very quick but seems like eternity! This procedure is suppose to clear up 90% of the kids that have this problem. WELL turned out that Tyler was the 10% that it did not work on... Booo! SO, for his follow up visit, I convinced the doctor to do it again - normally, the next step would be a surgery where they insert a tube through the tear duct, a more extensive surgery - one that we are trying to avoid!!! Round two seems to be doing better! Tyler has had a clear eye for a few days now, and we go back for our checkup on Thursday. Here is a picture of the first procedure - POOR BUDDY!!

As if he hasn't had enough to recover from, the little guy fell today while he was crawling and busted his lip on the baby gate. Poor buddy has one SWOLLEN lip! I think I am going to have my hands full with this little one. He is constantly on the go, and when he is going, he is FULL FORCE! He gives it all hes got! DEFINITELY a BOY- and a rough little one at that! He is super strong. We joke about calling him bam bam from now on, because every time he gets something in his hands he is banging it on something else, the walls, the tile, the dog, toys, etc.- if it makes noise, he is banging it hahaa!
He loves music! Anytime he hears music, he stops what he is doing and does a little rock- its his way of dancing! Its so cute! He loves all of his music toys the best...maybe its because they make noise when he hits them! ha ha!! I think we are going to have a little drummer on our hands - it makes sense, seeing as though he was born on his uncle C.J.'s birthday - we all know how much of a musician/drummer C.J. is!
Tyler got his very first haircut this past weekend. It was such a fun experience! Even though I was a little nervous about jumping the gun and cutting his hair before he turned one! Hopefully the old wives tale is wrong - and he wont have bad hair! LOL! Tyler loved getting his hair cut - I think the cool chair he got to sit in definitely helped! he was distracted by the shiny wheels! Here is a picture of the finished product - they gave him a cute Mohawk to give him some style!

Needless to say, we are having a blast with our little man - his birthday is right around the corner - I cant believe I am going to have a one year old soon!
